Overview

We are looking for a Software Tools Engineer to join a team focused on developing software tools for embedded systems, with a particular emphasis. In this role, you will contribute to building complex software tools that support embedded devices, working across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional and international teams, gaining exposure to modern technologies, Agile methodologies, and automotive software development practices. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week onsite at the Bucharest office.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex software tools supporting tools solutions;
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements definition to release;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align development with business and customer needs;
  • Work within Agile teams and follow modern development practices (CI/CD, continuous testing, etc.);
  • Understand and contribute to software solutions within the automotive domain;
  • Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code;
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving across application layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Proven experience working on complex software projects;
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design principles);
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React.js, Node.js);
  • Hands-on experience with HTML and CSS;
  • Experience working with binary data serialization/deserialization over socket-based communication;
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
  • Experience working in international, multi-site teams;
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills;
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Electron.js framework;
  • Knowledge of C/C++, especially in performance-sensitive or low-level development;
  • Experience with Python development.
